Men of Wood and Foam
Thursday January 26 at 9.30am AEDT
Men Of Wood & Foam follows the story of six friends from Brookvale who shaped the history of surfing in Australia. We dive into a golden decade when surfing was transformed into a sport and a culture with its own music, movies, fashions and heroes. From the primitive factories in a former market garden at Brookvale, bordering the favoured wave spots of Dee Why Point and Fairy Bower, these pioneers became known as “The Brookvale Six”.
Coast Australia, Season 3 – Episodes 1, 2 and 3
Thursday January 26 at 10.30am AEDT, 11.30am AEDT and 12.30pm AEDT
The hugely successful factual series Coast Australia is returning for its third season, presented by internationally renowned British archaeologist and television presenter Neil Oliver.
Each episode will showcase a different strip of Australia’s spectacular coastline, as Neil Oliver and his team of co-presenters gather stories about the history, the people, the archaeology, the geography and the marine life, investigating interesting and little known facts along the way. Throughout the series, Neil will again be joined by some of Australia’s leading experts in their field: palaeontologist Professor Tim Flannery, historian Dr Alice Garner, marine ecologist Professor Emma Johnston and landscape architect Brendan Moar, as they set out to capture the incredible diversity around the edge of a young nation built on an ancient land.
