New Zealand Premiere
Tuesdays 7.30pm from October 2 to November 6
This series chronicles how the world leaders in the greatest military conflict in human history made their decisions, and how these decisions (both good and bad) altered the outcome of WWII. Each episode focuses on one major player of the War, identifying his strengths and his weaknesses, his thinking, his decision-making and the results. The series utilizes recently declassified documents from governments around the world to identify the difficulties faced by major decision-makers, many of whom struggled with uncertainty and risked political errors, indecision and impulsive determinations as they navigated the world’s first Total War, the most political war of all time. Episodes include Stalin, Hitler and Churchill.
