Aussie Inventions – Study Guides

In addition to new episodes every Monday, HISTORY will also be releasing study guides that relate to each episode of Aussie Inventions That Changed The World. These study guides provide valuable information that can be applied to various school subject areas. However, the curriculum relevant learning resources in the Schools Kit are divided into two subject areas pertaining to both primary and secondary levels;  History/ Human and Social Sciences (HASS) for years 5-6 and years 9-10 and Design and Technologies for years 5-6 and 9-10.

Each study guide relates to a specific episode of the show and will include:

  • A lesson plan (45-minute for Primary, 60-minute for Secondary)
  • Extra activities (an extended assignment or homework task)
  • A quiz and answer sheet (with six questions for students)
  • Each study guide will also provide time codes to the section of the episode that a question or activity directly relates to.

Each study guide can be used comprehensively and in part. While each episode’s learning resource is themed and independent, the kit material is shaped so that teachers and students can benefit by watching, listening, learning, reading and applying knowledge to the resources of each episode in the series, one by one.

NB: Please note that the time codes specified in these study guides are only relevant when viewing the episode on demand.
